Tip #1: Change Your Mindset

Embrace a mindset shift when it comes to your home. Rather than focusing on what your bathroom lacks in terms of storage, adopt an attitude of abundance.

Be grateful for the space you have and approach it with creativity and resourcefulness.

You are not doomed if you don’t have a big bathroom, a linen closet, lots of counter space or cabinets. I don’t have ANY of those things and our family of five functions quite well in our small bathrooms.

Remember, even a small bathroom can be transformed into an organized haven with the right strategies.

Tip #2: Envision Your Ideal Bathroom

Take a moment to envision what your ideal bathroom would look like.

This isn’t about creating an extravagant HGTV-worthy space, but rather a clean and organized environment that supports your daily routines.

Picture clear countertops, easy-to-find items, and a clutter-free atmosphere.

If visualization is challenging for you, don’t worry—I’m here to help. Together, we can explore the possibilities and transform your bathroom.

Tip #3: Identify the Purpose of Your Bathroom

Define the primary purposes your bathroom serves.

Is it primarily for personal hygiene tasks like using the toilet, showering, or brushing teeth? Perhaps you also need storage for towels and makeup.

Identify the key functions of your bathroom, as this will guide you in knowing how to organize your bathroom.

By clarifying its purpose, you’ll be able to streamline your storage solutions based on what will support your lifestyle now and into the future.

Tip #4: Declutter Your Bathroom

One common issue in bathrooms is an excess of unnecessary items.

Decluttering is essential to create an organized space.

Start by clearing out your bathroom cabinets or vanity completely. Take everything out and deep clean the empty space.

Then, sort your items into categories such as keep, donate, or discard.

Be mindful of the purpose of each item and let go of anything that no longer serves you.

Remember, less clutter means less stress and easier maintenance.

Tip #5: Create Stations and Storage Solutions

Now that you’ve decluttered, it’s time to organize your bathroom effectively.

Create stations and storage solutions that support your bathroom habits and tasks.

For example, designate a specific area for makeup, using a makeup bag or basket.

Consider installing shelves or other storage options to maximize vertical space.

By creating dedicated areas for different activities, you’ll make your routines more efficient and maintain a tidy space.

Also consider the natural flow of your day and organize your home according to an assembly line model.
